Thank you for taking the time to stop by, and welcome to my blog!

This is the bit where you step inside my virtual home and take a look around at the pictures on the wall, find out a bit more about me, my life and my world.  And this is the bit that I find the most difficult to put into words!  I mean…’About Me’…how long have you got?  There’s a lot to cover!  Anyway, here goes…

So Who Am I and What Do I Do?
I am Helen Crowe, daughter of a farm manager and a school teacher.  My father is German by birth and met my mother after he decided to stay in England after the end of WW2.  I was brought up in rural Hertfordshire, with two brilliant younger brothers, and a series of crazy cats.  I’m married to Mike, a talented film-maker, musician and composer, who runs his own business (www.webmovies4you.com), and we have 2 grown-up children, Andy & Amie, who each on their own journeys of discovering what they have to offer the world.  Two other important ‘people’ in our lives are 2 little black cats, called Alfie and Smudge, who chose us about a year ago, and we can’t imagine life without their funny little ways.

I am a Director of my own business, AmazingVA, which although only just over a year old, has surpassed all expectations in how quickly it’s taken off.  Following many years as a PA/Executive Secretary to CEOs, directors & entrepreneurs in Cambridge high-tech & bio-tech companies, and several start-up and spin-off businesses, some of the entrepreneurial spirit must have rubbed off!  I am loving AmazingVA, really loving it, despite the long hours and TLC  it requires….this really feels like me, somewhere where I get the chance to do what I do best by helping my clients do what they do best.  I’m building a team of hand-picked VAs so that I can build my business and help even more people get what they really want by ‘matchmaking’, that is, putting together the clients and VAs so that everybody benefits!  No wonder I can hardly sleep at night with the excitement of it all!

I am passionate about personal development  and following the path of discovery to find out who I really ‘Am’.  Ever since I got my big wake up call and was well and truly put on my journey with the cancer diagnosis in 2004, I know how precious our time here is and we are all here for a reason.  You’ll see in my pictures just some of the adventures I’ve had since 2004, in fact one of my favourite quotes (and my Peru trek motto) is:“Security is an illusion.  Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing at all” (Helen Keller, (US teacher – born blind and deaf).  I’ve really started to push the boundaries of what I think is possible, to believe that anything and everything is possible.  Who put the limits there in the first place, could it have been me?  So if I put them there, then I can take remove them.

What Do You Do In Your Spare Time?
Spare time, hah, hah, don’t seem to get much of that these days! But I’ll always find a little time for:

• Walking, especially at high level (not much of that in Cambridgeshire!)
• I run 2 or 3 times a week, and enjoy Yoga and Pilates
• Spending time with my lovely family and friends
• Reading…pretty much anything, especially self-improvement and autobiographies
• Personal development training (attending courses and seminar)
